Caroline’s enthusiasm for numbers and her ability to bring people together to tackle real-world problems has set her apart as a leader in the growing field of sustainability management and reporting.
As Vice President of Climate and Investment Risk at OMERS, Caroline works across the organization to help manage some of the pension plan’s most critical issues, helping to provide stability for the benefit of its almost 600,000 members across Ontario. As the Chair of the Climate Action Plan Implementation Team, she is working to advance new initiatives across the organization, and building the climate risk function at OMERS. Caroline has launched numerous climate initiatives, including calculating their first-ever carbon footprint in 2020, which laid the foundation for OMERS’s carbon reduction goals and climate change scenarios.
As an active member of the profession, Caroline contributed to multiple Investor Leadership Network publications and is regularly invited to speak at conferences and events.
By identifying practical ways to understand, communicate and manage climate exposure risk to her organization and its clients, Caroline has established herself as a champion of sustainability and a true example of how CPAs can take the lead.
