Nidal Haque, CPA, CA

Since university, Nidal knew he wanted to build a career in accounting and finance recognizing that becoming a CPA would equip him with technical experience and set the stage for a fulfilling career. After obtaining his CPA, he developed an interest in working with entrepreneurs to build durable businesses; a passion which continues to guide his career journey. 

As the Senior Vice-President of Finance and Operations at health-tech start-up, Practice Better, Nidal works closely with the CEO, Founders, and Investors on executing long-term strategy while leading several organizational teams, from accounting and corporate finance to payments and data analytics. He played a vital role in the company’s Series A funding round of $27 million USD in 2022 and led the research and development of the company’s own embedded payment platform.

Nidal leads with empathy, is passionate about mentorship and lifelong learning, and is committed to fostering a growth-oriented professional environment. Nidal actively supports the Toronto Region Immigrant Employment Council and Jumpstart Refugee Talent, which provides one-on-one professional mentorship to immigrants and refugees. He also established scholarship programs to support individuals from marginalized communities pursue post-secondary education.
