For nearly 30 years, Bailey has dedicated his career to advancing finance and accounting practices within Canada’s public sector while mentoring the next generation of CPA leaders. As Partner and National Public Sector Lead with KPMG Canada’s Accounting Advisory Services, Bailey is a highly respected leader and trusted advisor to finance executives across all levels of government.

Renowned for his strategic insights and approachable leadership style, he has also become a leading voice on environmental and sustainability reporting. He sits on the boards of the Natural Assets Initiative, a non-profit dedicated to mainstreaming natural asset management practices across Canada. And, in 2023 and 2024, he represented Canada at the UN’s World Investment Forum and the Intergovernmental Working Group of Experts on International Standards of Accounting and Reporting, speaking on public sector sustainability reporting. 

He has taught over 5000 university accounting students across Ontario, many of whom he continues to mentor today. He has actively supported his community through various governance and leadership roles with the Ottawa Catholic School Board, the Military and Hospitaller Order of Saint Lazarus and the Third Wall Theatre Company.
