Daniel Tourangeau, FCPA, FCA

As a national and internationally recognized trailblazer in the field of forensic accounting, Daniel enjoys a reputation for passion and dedication to protecting the public by uncovering wrongdoing.

Daniel’s work at the Ontario Securities Commission significantly contributed to uncovering one of the largest cryptocurrency frauds in history, which was captured in the Netflix documentary “Trust No One: The Hunt for the Crypto King”, highlighting the critical role of forensic accountants in these unique investigations.  Daniel continues to advance the essential work of forensic accountants at the Commission. 

As a Sessional Lecturer in the Master of Forensic Accounting program at the University of Toronto Mississauga, and through volunteering as a Lead Evaluator in the Integrative Capstone of the program, Daniel shares his enthusiasm, knowledge and expertise with the next generation of forensic accountants.

According to his colleagues, Daniel’s remarkable intelligence, keen intuition and unwavering commitment to professional ethics is an inspiration to future generations of CPAs.
