Jack Christy, FCPA, FCMA, FCA
The road to excellence does not always follow a straight line, and Jack demonstrates that we can all find our own unique path in making our mark. His father, who was also a CPA, inspired him to go down this career path.
At 29, Jack was promoted to Principal of the EY consulting practice’s Performance Improvement Group in Toronto after less than three years, one of the youngest principals ever in the history of the firm. Following EY, Jack continued to provide his expertise as an assistant professor of Controllership, Strategic Management and Consulting at Lakehead University. Through his teaching and research work, he was awarded a Society of Management Accountants Canada Doctoral Support scholarship for PhD studies.
While medical leave sidelined his pursuit of his PhD, Jack has provided strategic planning as a Client & Family Partner volunteer over the past twenty years exclusively to St. Joseph’s Care Group in Thunder Bay and was recently appointed to its board.
According to the many letters of support received for his nomination as a Fellow, Jack’s outstanding strength and resilience are a testament to his spirit and his passion.
