Jean Desgagné, FCPA, FCA, ICD.D

Jean is a visionary leader with a distinguished career as a C-Suite executive, corporate director and advisor focusing on risk management, innovation, digital transformation, and data. Over his 40-year career, he has driven transformational change in multinational financial institutions, exchanges, market infrastructures, and the start-up ecosystem. In 2018, Jean retired from TMX, where he held multiple senior roles including President & CEO, Global Solutions & Analytics Strategies, and CEO, Canadian Depository for Securities.

Jean has served on many corporate boards, including, currently, CAA Club Group, CAA Insurance, and the Province of Ontario Internal Audit Committee. He is actively involved as an investor and advisor to various start-ups and is an Executive in Residence at the Telfer School of Management.

Jean supported the profession through six years on the CPA Ontario Council, including two as Chair. A dedicated community advocate, Jean has supported organizations such as the Adoption Council of Ontario and co-founded the Mental Health Hackathon.
