Dr. Jodie Lobana, FCPA, FCA
With an esteemed career as a director, educator, author, and award-winning management consultant, Dr. Jodie Lobana has made groundbreaking contributions in the fields of AI governance, risk management, and ethics. Her expertise spans decades of experience in internal audit, project management, human resources, and finance.
A dedicated educator, Dr. Lobana teaches Governance of Information Technology at York University and has delivered courses on AI ethics and digital strategy at leading institutions such as Queen’s University and McMaster University.
Dr. Lobana is the Chair of the McMaster Artificial Intelligence Society Board and has served on several national and international boards. As a board member of the International Internal Audit Standards Board (IIASB), she played a pivotal role in developing and approving the Global Internal Audit Standards, released in January 2024. Her work has been recognized with numerous accolades, including the 2023 Modern Governance 100 Award from Diligent Institute, the McMaster Women in Tech 2020 Changemaker Award, and the ICAO Award of Distinction in 2013.
