John’s career spans five decades and three firms from coast to coast. As a tax professional at Deloitte’s private practice, John has delivered outstanding client service and built resilient, collaborative, and profitable tax practices across the country.

His cross-Canada experience extends to his contributions to the profession as an organizing member of the Prairie Tax Conference, participation in local Income Tax and GST Discussion Groups and as a volunteer with the Niagara CPA Association. He always finds time to give back to the community, including his work with United Way of Edmonton and St. Catharines. Throughout his career, John has reinforced the values of integrity, ethical conduct and protecting the public.

For future CPAs, John has some sound advice: say “yes” to opportunities as they are presented to you, rather than wait around for the perfect chance. It is what you do with the opportunity that matters most.
