John Grummett, FCPA, FCA

John began his career in 1985 and has been a full-time tax practitioner since 1987. For the last 14 years, John has grown the tax practice and provided leadership at Taylor Leibow LLP, where he is regarded by his peers as a strategic leader with a reputation for humility.

He has chaired the DFK Canada Tax Committee and is a member of the DFK International Tax Committee, lecturing on doing business in Canada at numerous DFK conferences around the world. John has also educated other accountants at the Ontario Tax Conference, the CICA In-Depth Tax Course and various training programs, including AJAG Professional Development.   

Through his passion in giving back to the community, John has been an active member and leader of the St. Catharines’ Terry Fox Run organizing committee for over 26 years. He has also volunteered with the Niagara Estate Planning Council and various organizations in Niagara.

His message to future CPAs is that the designation is highly respected, and when coupled with hard work, it opens endless opportunities.
