Kathy has extensive experience with private and not-for-profit organizations. As a founding partner of Welch LLP Toronto, Kathy built and grew the Toronto practice into the preferred assurance, accounting, advisory and tax service provider for Canadian companies and international companies doing business in Canada. As a champion of diversity and inclusion, Kathy led the practice

in developing policies and practices to foster an inclusive workplace, promote equal opportunities, and ensure a diverse staff representation. Prior to joining Welch in 2011, Kathy held senior roles in public accounting and the private sector and as a sole practitioner after launching her career at Clarkson Gordon (EY).

Her commitment to community impact is realized in her non-profit organization board involvement including Ontario 211, Breast Cancer Canada, CSAE and The National Club Toronto, where she served as President.

Always a leader, Kathy’s energy and entrepreneurial spirit has set an example for many aspiring female professionals and entrepreneurs on how to balance a growing family with a demanding career. Her spirit and guidance have been instrumental to the success of numerous start-up Canadian enterprises.
