Lee Hodgkinson, FCPA, FCA

After a nearly 40 year career, Lee has earned the reputation of being the face of mining at KPMG and is fondly referred to as “the connector” within the industry because of his ability to bring people together and foster strong relationships.

Since kicking off his accounting career in the United Kingdom in the 1980s before moving to Canada with KPMG, Lee has become a highly respected leader and trusted advisor in the global mining community.

During his leadership tenure as the Global and National Mining leader from 2002 to 2022, he helped grow the firm’s practice. He currently serves as an audit and mining partner.

With an extensive background in financial reporting and experience with PCAOB and international auditing standards, Lee has acted as the lead audit engagement partner for Canada’s leading mining companies which has taken him to nearly 50 mines across six continents. Lee gives back to his community through his support of charitable organizations, serving as Treasurer for Mining Matters, a board member at Second Kicks, and founder of Mining Charity Soccer Tournaments.
