Martin Roy

As a highly regarded and trusted advisor on accounting standards, Martin leverages his deep knowledge of IFRS, ASPE and US GAAP as Deloitte Canada’s Chief Accounting Officer and co-lead of the firm’s National Accounting & Securities (NAS) group. Prior to Deloitte, Martin worked various positions at the Montreal and Boston outposts of KPMG and held leadership roles at the Bank of Montreal.

Martin frequently contributes his time, knowledge, and experience to support the profession. He has been a guest lecturer at various industry conferences and served as a member and technical reviewer on the CFE Board of Examiners.

Martin is also active in his community, currently serving as Treasurer and board member for the Merit Bursary Award Program, which supports and inspires students in the GTA to stay in school and pursue post-secondary education.

Between 2014 and 2017, he led Deloitte’s partnership with Start Proud, Canada’s largest collective of 2SLGBTQIA+ students and professionals, including the firm’s sponsorship of the Leaders To Be Proud Of awards.
