Neil Sinclair, FCPA, FCA

Neil spent the first 27 years of his career with his independent firm Hurren Sinclair MacIntyre CPA’s LLP, becoming Managing Partner. His progressive leadership led to its expansion and a 300% growth in revenue.

In 2021, he facilitated his firm’s merger with Doane Grant Thornton LLP, becoming its first Durham Region office where he serves as a Partner with the Assurance Practice.

While leading his independent practice, Neil was the Principal Training Officer, leading training programs that resulted in a 100% pass rate for CFE students.

Neil served two terms as a member of the Auditing and Assurance Standards Oversight Council. This work oversaw the development of key assurance standards in Canada.

Outside of the office, Neil demonstrated his dedication to service through his leadership of community organizations including Big Sisters of Ajax-Pickering and the Rotary Club of Pickering. Neil is currently a member of the Council of the Ajax-Pickering Board of Trade.
