Salim Somani

Thoughtful. Respectful. A person of strong character. These are just a few of the accolades Salim’s peers use to describe him. From an early age, Salim’s faith as an Ismaili Muslim instilled in him the importance of helping others, a value that shines through every aspect of his life, from his professional work to his volunteer efforts both in Canada and internationally with the Aga Khan Development Network.

After founding his own firm in 1989, Salim earned a stellar reputation for delivering exceptional consultancy and value-added services, distinguishing himself as a trusted advisor to his clients.

Since 2018, Salim has been an active member with the Children’s Aid Society of Toronto and was most recently elected as Chair of the Board of Governors.

During his time volunteering with the organization, he even spearheaded the first ever internal audit function in Canada’s child welfare sector.

Salim’s exemplary professional conduct, ethical leadership and commitment to the community make him a shining example of what it means to be a CPA.
