Vanessa Kanu, FCPA, FCA

Vanessa is a global finance executive with over 25 years of experience at multi- national and multi-billion-dollar organizations. She is currently Executive Vice- President and CFO at Aptar, where she leads the global finance organization including planning, treasury, tax, financial reporting, financial operations, and information technology.

She most recently served as global CFO at TELUS International, where she was instrumental in guiding the company’s $8.5-billion IPO, the largest technology IPO in the history of the TSX.

Previously, she served in various senior leadership roles at Mitel Networks Corporation and PwC. Recognized for her leadership expertise, Vanessa was named 2021 CFO of the Year by the Ottawa Chamber of Commerce and the Ottawa Business Journal, and a recipient of their Forty Under 40 Award. She was also named one of Canada’s Best Executives by The Globe and Mail ROB magazine in 2023.

Vanessa served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Manulife Financial Corporation’s Board and the Ottawa Hospital Foundation. She is actively involved with Thorn, a not-for-profit organization with a mission to eliminate child sexual abuse materials from the internet.
