Celia is a Chartered Professional Accountant, licensed with the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario, and has over twenty years of accounting experience, encompassing financial controllership, internal audit and public accounting, servicing both publicly listed and private entities.

She currently practices as a Partner in a full-service public accounting firm – GMS Professional Corporation. While Celia’s area of specialization is the Non-Profit and Charitable sector, her clients include churches, charities, medical doctors, electricians, real estate agents, and independent consultants. The breadth of her clientele has allowed her to deepen her understanding of the issues faced by small businesses and non-profit organizations, thereby providing her with the tools to be a trusted business advisor to her clients.

In addition to practicing at GMS, Celia is a member of the Small Practices Advisory Committee for CPA Ontario. She is a Facilitator in the CPA Ontario PEP program and is a Part Time Professor at Algoma University. Celia participated in a 1-year International Fellowship run by Vital Voices Global Partnership, to coach women business leaders.

Celia’s public accounting experience was gained at PwC Canada, where she was an Assurance Manager servicing publicly listed companies, and at a smaller accounting firm in Burlington Ontario, where her clients were mostly owner managed businesses and health care professionals (doctors, dentists etc).

Prior to immigrating to Canada in 2001, Celia worked with PwC Jamaica and the Bank of Nova Scotia Jamaica Ltd. Celia is a member of the Kingdom Life Ministries (Pentecostal Assemblies the World) church in Mississauga and is the proud mother of two sons Daniel and Jonathan.
