Update Your Professional Liability Insurance
Firm representatives are reminded of their obligation to provide proof of coverage on an annual basis and within five business days of the expiration of the policy per Section 11 of Regulation 14-1.
As a firm representative, you must provide the insurance provider, the source of coverage, number of members in the firm, limit of liability per claim, the policy number and expiry date.
Please follow the steps below to update your firm office’s insurance information:
- Using Google Chrome, log in to your My Portal using your Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario (CPA Ontario) ID and Password.
- Navigate to the Firm Dashboard on the left-hand side bar.
- If you have more than one firm, please click on Switch Firm and select the applicable Firm.
- Select View All on the Professional Liability Insurance (PLI) Tile.
- Click on Update Insurance Information and complete all the required fields.
Failure to provide proof of coverage to CPA Ontario within five business days will result in the suspension of the firm and its firm representative. To avoid this consequence, please check your firm’s insurance expiry date and mark your calendar to complete the reporting obligation by the deadline.
