National Applicant Self-Assessment Tool
This self-assessment tool is intended for applicants who have completed courses (in or outside of Canada) that are not pre-approved as academic prerequisites by a regional/provincial CPA body for admission to the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP).
The self-assessment preliminary assessment results will indicate if applicants are eligible for a full exemption (course and exam), partial exemption (course only) or no exemption from academic prerequisites based on the information provided in the tool. If an applicant is eligible for a partial exemption, they will have the opportunity to meet the prerequisite requirement by successfully completing a challenge exam.
Note: All self-assessment results are considered unofficial and an official transcript/eligibility assessment is required prior to entering the CPA certification program. This self-assessment tool is not applicable for Quebec applicants.Download the tool
The self-assessment tool is an Excel Workbook that allows you to indicate which topics you have covered as part of your studies. Once you have completed the tool, please submit it along with any additional documentation, like course outlines, as part of your official transcript/eligibility assessment submission as directed by your provincial CPA body.
A member of our team will review your completed self-assessment and course outlines and inform you of your official results.
