Lara Shewchuk, FCPA, FCA

Lara is a global leader, board director, and sustainability professional who is dedicated to building a better future.

She is passionate about empowering women and marginalized populations, establishing ESG as a strategic pillar for Architech, where she serves as COO & CFO. Under her leadership, Architech has been recognized as one of “Canada’s Top Growing Companies” for two consecutive years.  

Lara is also a driving force for inclusion at Architech, which has achieved a leadership team comprised of fifty per cent women, established gender pay equity, and increased women in technology roles.

Lara leads with authenticity, intention, and impact, both in her professional life and in the community. Her work with Canadian Center for Women’s Empowerment, Competent Boards, 50/50 Women On Boards, and QueerTech drives positive change for the profession and the province. 

Staying true to her commitment to sustainability, Lara is a farmer with a flock of 40 laying hens. Her family manages a hardwood forest, planting over 300 trees a year, growing 1000 garlic bulbs, and even producing their own maple syrup.
