Melanie Russell, FCPA, FCA

Over the course of her nearly 40-year career, Melanie has demonstrated the values of excellence, professionalism and integrity. Her career has taken her from PwC and KPMG to TD Bank to Kalex Valuations Inc., a firm she founded in 1996.

With a passion for professional development education, she has been instrumental in authoring numerous CPA Ontario preparation courses, resource materials and is a frequently requested speaker and lecturer. In fact, Melanie, authored the business valuation content of CPA Canada’s PACT, co-authored the definitive Canadian resource on fraud and money laundering and a publication on understanding valuation reports for legal professionals.

Melanie has given back to the profession with the founding of the GTA Accountants and Finance Network in 2017. She serves as President of the Toronto CPA Association and served as past President for the North York CPA Association and Director of the Etobicoke District CPA Association. She is also a vocal member of the Association for Corporate Growth and ESOP Ownership Canada.

Not surprisingly, one of her four children made the National CFE Honour Roll in 2023.
