Paula Smith, FCPA, FCA

According to her peers, Paula is a force for positive change who makes a meaningful and lasting difference for all of those around her. Whether she is improving audit quality, supporting Canadian entrepreneurship or helping others seize opportunities, Paula has truly distinguished herself as a CPA.

After a nearly 25-year tenure with EY Canada, she is the youngest CPA to have ever led EY’s People Team nationwide. As Partner and Quality Leader of the Toronto Audit Group and the National Director of the EY Canada Entrepreneur of the Year Awards, Paula is constantly finding new routes to move businesses and communities forward.

Paula is a passionate volunteer, devoting her time to causes including the Canadian Women’s Foundation and St. Clements School. She has also contributed to the CPA profession as a mentor, panelist and Practice Inspection Committee member at CPA Ontario.

Paula also mentors junior colleagues, noting that they inspire her to think differently.
