Winnie Leung, FCPA, FCA

Winnie’s intelligence, analytical mindset and enthusiasm have made her a mentor and friend to many young and seasoned professionals. Her leadership, accounting knowledge and tech-savvy approach has led to leadership roles at KPMG and Moneris. Previously at Moneris, she revolutionized the organization’s finance function, introducing people, processes and technologies to propel Moneris into the future.

Dedicated to giving back to the profession, Winnie is vice-chair of the FEI Canada Board and through KPMG’s Network of Women, has shared her insights on overcoming challenges. She also founded Moneris’ Inclusive Workplace Council and served as an executive sponsor of the Womxn@Moneris program. Recently featured in C-Suite Spotlight, Winnie was recognized as one of the Top 25 Executives in Toronto for 2023. 

Winnie’s advice to future CPAs is to trust your own capabilities, be confident in your ability to tackle what is given to you, and to embody a more positive mindset. This approach can enable you to encourage your colleagues and give them the confidence to do the best that they can.
